the turning point
A little over three years ago, unexpectedly, my ex-boyfriend passed away. It was a moment that made me question many things in my life. It was a time to feel, to heal, and to make changes. I never imagined I would experience something like that, nor how much a person who experiences that type (or any other) of experiences can go through. They are situations that shake you, envelop you, and the way you lived your life suddenly no longer works for you. I suppose you enter a period of self-discovery (only if you want, of course) to strengthen yourself.
The people around you, most of the time, cannot help you and that is when you have to find the strength to get up. In my journey, I met many people who were struggling with depression or anxiety; it is as if my world opened up to make me aware of these problems that afflict a large number of people in the world. I am not a psychologist, but I have experienced firsthand what living with these problems can do to you.
One day, I decided I wanted to do something about it and here I am, trying to make a difference through fashion. Why through clothing? Because, personally, in addition to all the tools I used to stabilize myself, post-its as visual reminders with phrases helped me a lot. So I said: why not create clothing that helps you remember important things in your day to day life?
